Lehigh County, Pennsylvania — Authorities say 13 people were injured overnight when a semi-truck crashed on Interstate 476 in Lehigh County. Emergency crews responded to the scene on the busy northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Lower Macungie Township where a tractor-trailer collided with several other vehicles. At least two people had to be extricated by emergency crews following the crash. At this time there are no details on the extent of those injuries and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

PITTSBURGH (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Penguins have traded forward Jared McCann to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for forward Filip Hallander and a 2023 seventh-round draft pick. CAMBRIA COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — Officials with the Cambria County Drug Coalition hosted an event that focused on alcohol prevention for minors. The event, called "sticker shock,” was held in Johnstown, Portage and Hastings. It focused on educating parents, friends, and family to not provide alcohol to minors, and the consequences that come with doing so. GRAMPIAN - A piece of equipment vital to scientific research was stolen from a stream in Clearfield County, according to police. Police said the equipment was owned by the Susquehanna River Basin Commission (SRBC) and taken from a stream located on the property of Bilger’s Rocks in Grampian. An SRBC official said the equipment was used to track the patterns of fish in waters impacted by mine drainage. He said there are six of the trackers throughout Clearfield County’s watershed and estimated each one costs approximately $5,000.

PITTSBURGH (AP) — Police say a wrong-way driver collided head-on with another car in a western Pennsylvania tunnel, critically injuring the other driver. State police in Pittsburgh say the vehicle entered Route 376 traveling west in the eastbound lanes shortly before 3 a.m. Sunday. Police said the car entered the Fort Pitt tunnel under Mount Washington, still traveling in the wrong direction, and collided head-on with another car. The 36-year-old driver of the other car was taken to a local hospital and listed in critical condition with multiple injuries.
JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Johnstown native Carlton Haselrig, who’s a former Steeler and the most decorated athlete in Pitt-Johnstown history, passed away Wednesday at the age of 54. According to Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees, Haselrig died of natural causes. Haselrig wrestled for Johnstown High as an independent “one-man team” as a senior posting a 10-0 record and winning the Pennsylvania AAA State Heavyweight Title, according to Pitt-Johnstown Athletics. He continued his wrestling career at Pitt-Johnstown winning six heavyweight NCAA National Wrestling championships and setting five Pitt-Johnstown all-time wrestling records, according to the university.
