Cambria Co., PA (WJAC) — Some quick thinking by neighbors in Gallitzin may have prevented an overnight house fire from being a lot worse. Officials say several area crews were called just after midnight Tuesday when flames broke out at a home on Grant Street. Authorities say they arrived to find flames shooting from the front of the house, which were even melting some of the siding on the home across the street.

JOHNSTOWN, Pa. (WJAC) — Two teens charged with what investigators call a conspiracy to commit a school shooting at Westmont Hilltop High School in Cambria County will go to trial. After a four-hour hearing Thursday, charges were bounded over by Magistrate Judge Kevin Price to the Court of Common Pleas against Logan Pringle, 17, and Preston Hinebaugh, 17, for several felony charges that they conspired together in the plot that was foiled last month after a parent told the school the Pringle had been in the school.

HOUTZDALE, Pa (WJAC) — UPDATE: According to the Houtzdale Fire Chief, the house fire that occurred earlier Saturday afternoon at 33 Wall Street has been deemed a "total loss." Thankfully, the two residents that were home at the time were able to get out safely. Fire officials have determined the cause of the fire to be electrical and that it originated in the home's attached garage. The fire chief confirmed that at least 9 or 10 crews responded to the scene and that roads leading to the house are still closed or blocked off as crews continue to clean up.

PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers are going to keep linebacker T.J. Watt in Pittsburgh through the 2021 season. They exercised Watt's fifth-year option from his rookie contract. The Steelers will pay Watt a base salary of $1.7 million for the 2020 season. Watt's fifth-year option base salary is unknown, at this time. Watt is coming off an impressive season. Huntingdon Co., PA (WJAC) — State police have charged a Tyrone man for driving under the influence of drugs and causing a fatal crash that claimed the life of a Warriors Marks woman in June, according to a criminal complaint. Investigators say 43-year-old Richard Ewing has been charged with homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, aggravated assault by vehicle, involuntary manslaughter, and over a dozen other traffic and drug-related citations, according to online court documents.
