BEDFORD COUNTY, Pa (WJAC) — A New Jersey murder suspect is in custody after fleeing from police during an attempted traffic stop in Bedford Township, Bedford County, Saturday evening, state police said.
According to a criminal complaint, the incident occurred just after 5 p.m. when a trooper merging onto US 220 observed a vehicle approaching him from behind at a high rate of speed.
State police said the vehicle changed lanes multiple times without using turn signals and passed the trooper at a speed higher than the posted speed limit.
HARRISBURG, Pa (WJAC) — One of the legal Pennsylvania Skill Game companies, whose games are manufactured by Pace-O-Matic and Miele Manufacturing, announced in a release Thursday that it has donated $250,000 to Feeding Pennsylvania, the state association of Feeding America Food Banks.
Officials say the donation will be distributed among the nine Feeding PA food banks throughout the state, and will help provide 750,000 meals to families that are struggling with food insecurity during the current virus pandemic.

ALLEGHENY COUNTY, Pa. (TND) — A church in Pennsylvania was shaken Sunday when a man allegedly pulled a gun on the pastor during a sermon and attempted to shoot him, according to authorities. The incident happened shortly after 1 p.m. at Jesus Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Police identified Bernard Junior Polite, 26, as the suspected shooter who entered the church and attempted to shoot Pastor Glenn Germany as he was delivering his sermon during a live stream.
CENTRE CO, Pa (WJAC) — The Centre County libraries in Bellefonte, Centre Hall and Philipsburg reopened on Monday, with restrictions and guidelines in place.
They all closed back in March because of the pandemic, then in June they began to offer "lobby service" where customers could order books and pick them up.

SOMERSET, Pa. (WJAC) — Officials say Somerset Area junior and senior high schools will close for five days after multiple students tested positive for COVID-19.
District Superintendent Krista Mathias says three junior or senior high school students tested positive within the past eight days and two of the case were reported Friday.
Mathias says the district was directed to close the junior and senior high schools for five days including Saturday and Sunday.
