FORT HILL, Pa. (WJAC) — Authorities have released new information regarding a teen's death after a fall near a YMCA camp in Somerset County. According to Somerset officials, a 15-year-old boy fell from rocks near the Cove Rocks on state forest property of Mount Davis Road. The incident happened near the Deer Valley YMCA Family Camp just before 12:30 p.m. Monday. The Norwin School District identified the teen as rising sophomore Nathan Kanczes.

The Spangler Fire Company applied for a FEMA grant this past year and was awarded 16 thousand dollars. Indiana County, PA (WJAC) — Indiana County coroner Jerry Overman has identified the man who was shot and killed by state police over the weekend following a high-speed chase. Overman says 51-year-old John Vincent Dye suffered multiple gunshot wounds following the officer-involved shooting that occurred late Sunday night. Investigators say troopers attempted to conduct a traffic stop in Center Township, when Dye fled the scene and a pursuit was initiated.

The district attorney dropped all charges against Daniel Gwynn, citing bad and corrupt police work in his case. Gwynn was accused of starting a fire at an abandoned building in west Philadelphia that killed Marsha Smith.
