Venango County, PA — Authorities in Venango County say an Oil City man is behind bars following an investigation into the rape and murder of a woman who had been reported missing last month.
Police say the body of Marcy Suzette Nellis was found along a bike trail on the morning of March 27th, after she had been reported missing the previous day.
Investigators say an autopsy determined that Nellis had been strangled and sexually assaulted.
Trader Joe's egg salad and old-fashioned potato salad have been recalled due to possible listeria contamination.
The products have been removed from stores out of an abundance of caution.
Customers who've already purchased it are advised to throw it away or return it to any Trader Joe's for a full refund.
Symptoms of infection include high fever, severe headaches, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea.
No illnesses have been reported.

Portage Borough declares snow emergency

PORTAGE, Pa. (WJAC) — A snow emergency has been declared in Portage Borough, officials say.
Mayor James Kissell said the snow and ice emergency is effective immediately and will last until 6:00 a.m. Thursday.
During this time, the mayor says there will be no parking allowed on any avenues within the borough.
Officials say the Portage Borough Winter Parking Ordinance will be strictly enforced by police and parking is not allowed on the even side of the street on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; and the odd side Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Somerset communities raise over $7K for scholarship fund in memory of Somerset grad, former wrestler

Somerset Co., PA (WJAC) — Communities in Somerset County came together Thursday evening for a fundraising campaign for a scholarship in memory of Andrew Luteri.
The Somerset graduate and former wrestler died in a motorcycle crash in August of this year.
Wrestling boosters and the family of Luteri started selling T-shirts for the scholarship fund and sold even more at Thursday’s wrestling match between North Star and Somerset.

HUNTINGDON., Pa. -- A trial got underway Wednesday for a woman accused of faking her law license.
Officials said Kimberly Kitchen worked at BMZ law firm in Huntingdon for a decade and never attended law school.
She is accused of faking her license to practice law, forging documents and bar exam results and falsely representing 30 estates and clients.

Blair County, PA — Authorities say a Blair County man has been sentenced to serve 18.5 to 37 years in prison.
Court records show that 22-year-old Kyler Luckadoo reportedly assaulted a fellow inmate in 2022.
The sentence is also in connection to his role in a Tyrone home invasion in 2021 in which he allegedly stole marijuana and cash.
Online court records show that Luckadoo has already been in the Blair County Prison for three years.
